UPCOMING EVENT: Travel Journal Workshop Series

Over the series three parts, participants will create travel journals – the book itself and interior envelopes, tucks, and folds – that can be used to document and commemorate a past or future adventure!

This event is a three-part series. Participants should plan to attend all three sessions.

This event is free of charge but there is limited space. Those who wish to participate are asked to register by calling the library at (607)-674-4242.

From Storm Hammond:

Junk journal bookmaking uses recycled, repurposed found materials, and things you have on hand. Each journal is uniquely decorated with personal papers, ephemera, pictures, and writing. Then, pockets and tucks are added to create more space.

1. Travel Journal

2. Stacked Envelope Accordion with Belly Bands (possible inclusion)

3. Pamphlet with Pockets and Tucks (possible inclusion)

Please, collect things that interest you in the junk mail, envelopes, pictures, doilies, magazine cutouts, old stationery or other sheet paper, and seed packets.
